Veteran's Day Assembly

We are excited to celebrate the veterans of the United States Armed Forces! On Tuesday, November 11, at 1:30, we will have an assembly in honor of the veterans. . Due to gym capacity issues, we will only be able to invite the veterans who are family members of our students. We look forward to celebrating each of them and show our gratitude for all they have done for our country.
Prior to the start of the ceremony, we invite you to enjoy our hospitality area, which has been set up in the conference room. A slide show will be playing for your viewing pleasure while you enjoy light refreshments.

Lastly, if you have pictures of veterans who are family members of our students, please have them emailed to [email protected] by 5:00 PM on Monday, November 10. We are excited for this celebration!

Title I Fright Night - October 28 from 5:30-7:00pm

Please plan to attend our Fall Title I annual meeting on Tuesday, October 28, from 5:30 - 7:00PM. Families attending the meeting can enjoy a light snack, followed by our annual Fright Night event for students and parents. An adult must accompany all students.

CES Swoop the Loop - Friday, October 31st

CES and our community partners are excited for our annual "Swoop the Loop" trunk or treat event! Students are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes to school on Friday, October 31. However, masks can only be worn during the student's Trunk or Treat time. Inflatable costumes, weapons, and gruesome costumes are not allowed. Please use only minimal face paint.

Chilhowie Elementary School's mission is to create and encourage an environment where all members of our community can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to promoting responsibility, inclusiveness, resilience, and respect in order to foster academic excellence. By upholding a collaborative partnership with families and the broader community, we aim to prepare our students for success in an ever-changing world and to make positive contributions to society.
 
CES Beliefs
 
1. CES believes in fostering an atmosphere of respect among students, teachers, and staff. Respect for oneself, others, and the learning environment is emphasized and encouraged.
2. CES believes in instilling a sense of responsibility in its students. This includes taking ownership of their actions, being accountable for their choices, and understanding the impact of their behavior on themselves and others.
3. CES believes in promoting inclusivity and creating an environment where every student feels valued, accepted, and included. We encourage understanding, empathy, and appreciation for diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and abilities.
4. CES values fostering an optimistic outlook among students. We emphasize positive thinking, resilience, and a belief in one's ability to overcome challenges. We encourage students to approach their education and life with a hopeful and proactive mindset.
5. CES values and promotes resilience in students. Resilience is the ability to bounce back from setbacks, persevere in the face of challenges, and adapt to adversity. By cultivating resilience, CES aims to empower students to overcome obstacles and develop a strong sense of determination and perseverance.
6. CES believes in the potential for success in every student. CES fosters an environment that encourages and supports students in achieving their goals and aspirations.
