Enroll A Student

Please see the Virginia Department of Education requirements for ENROLLMENT IN VIRGINIA PUBLIC SCHOOLS for more information.

You will need the following to enroll a student: 

  • Birth Certificate

  • Street Address

  • School Entrance Health Form

  • Immunization Records

  • Social Security Number

Please bring these documents with you when you come to register your child. 

 

PreK and K Registrations are typically held at all county elementary schools in the spring. The dates for this spring will be Thursday, March 12 & Friday, March 13, 2020, 

In order to register your child for the Pre-K program, your child must be four years old on or before September 30. A state-certified copy of your child’s birth certificate and verification of your family’s income are needed when applying for this program. Your child will not be assessed for the program until this documentation is received at the enrolling school. Your child does not need to be present for Pre-K registration.
 
For Kindergarten enrollment, your child must be five years old on or before September 30. A state-certified copy of your child’s birth certificate is required for enrollment, along with proof of immunizations and a current physical exam. When you register, a short assessment will be completed with your child, so please make sure they are present at registration.
