The response of our students at CES has been overwhelming in the past few years. This contest is NOT a required assignment for the students; their creative writings are entirely voluntary. Mrs. Smith compiles a book of ALL the stories CES students write for the contest – not just the winners. That book will be available free of charge to all contestants by the end of the year. The Kiwanis Club, with the assistance of the Smyth County Public Library, compiles winning stories from across the county into a book, which is given to the library.
These students have worked so hard and are indeed, very creative!!
